In the 1990s, Kassia Meador started surfing Malibu and has found a home there ever since. After walking away from her fifteen-year Roxy sponsorship, Meador began Kassia Surf, a company that makes sustainable wetsuits and directs a portion of its profits toward environmental initiatives. Meador sits down with Jamie Brisick to discuss the importance of being open and in-sync with nature, first-world consumerism, reconciling personal opportunity with social responsibility, the cultivation of instinct, and giving back to her community.
